How is the application set up?
The online application is divided into five dimensions and ISTE Standards, each with its own set of indicators. Some are required, and some are optional. Please contact seal@iste.org with any questions. 

The Five Dimensions are:

1. User Interface and Agency
2. Learning Design
3. Digital Pedagogy/ Digital Andragogy
4. Inclusivity
5. Assessment and Data

ISTE Standards are:

1. ISTE Standards for Students
2. ISTE Standards for Educators
3. ISTE Standards for Coaches

The required and optional indicators will depend on the type of product you have. You must submit evidence for all required indicators and choose from the remaining optional indicators. 

• Curriculum- 19 required + 8 optional of your choice + 4 ISTE Standard indicators = 31 total indicators required to submit
• Student-Facing Platforms- 12 required + 13 optional of your choice + 4 ISTE Standard indicators, including one indicator from the Empowered Learner and one indicator from the Digital Citizen Standards = 29 total indicators required to submit
• Assessment Tools- 17 required + 8 optional of your choice + 4 ISTE Standard indicators, including one indicator from the Creative Communicator Standard = 29 total indicators required to submit​​​​
• Professional Development- 19 required + 7 optional of your choice + 6 ISTE standard indicators across Educator and/or Coaching Standards = 32 total indicators

Each indicator includes “Look Fors" which are concrete examples of what evaluators will be seeking. If a product meets at least 50% of the requirements specified by the "Look Fors," it receives a positive score for that indicator. 

What do I need to submit for the application?

1. ULTID

After registering your product on the Learning Technology Directory (LTD), you received a Universal Learning Technology Identifier (ULTID). This code is required to submit your application. If you are not sure where to find your ULTID, contact seal@iste.org. 

2. Product Demo Account and Login Credentials

Provide a demo account and login information for reviewers to access your product. This allows reviewers to confirm product consistency and cross-check product samples submitted in the application. 

3. Slide Deck Link

Ensure your slide deck has a sharable link and that permission settings are open for reviewers.
